![]() ![]() May is National Teacher Appreciation Month! Please submit all payments along with the pre-purchase form to any of our preschool staff. All books must be pre-purchased by May 20th. Yearbook order forms will be outside our preschool door. Books will be available on the day of graduation. It also makes for a nice conversation for you and the family. Children LOVE looking at themselves in pictures and finding all their friends and it will bring back many cheerful memories for many years to come. I highly recommend all families to purchase at least one yearbook. If you would like to see an example, please ask one of the teachers to show you last year's book. The yearbook will have two personalized pages for each child plus lots of pages of different events that happened during the year. Don't miss out on 40 color pages, filled with great memories of your child’s 2015 - 2016 school year. Our wonderful room parent, Giselle has graciously offered to make a professional memory book with these pictures. Most of you have seen these pictures on the school’s Shutterfly account. Parent involvement is essential for the continued growth and improvement of our program.įinally, as you all know, we have been taking digital pictures throughout the school year. We appreciate all of the ways so many of you have shown your support throughout the year.I cannot believe that the year is almost over! Looking back on our Shutterfly pictures, I am amazed how much our preschoolers have grown. Tuesday, December 26th CLOSED FOR NEW YEAR’S Thursday we will focus our attention on the nursery rhyme, Do you know the muffin man? Friday we will read and act out the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. Wednesday is Little Jack Horner Day, where we will be learning the nursery rhyme. Monday and Tuesday we will be closed for the Christmas holidays. We will be having a peppermint taste test, and everyone is encouraged to wear their PJs.ĭecember 25-29 Nursery Rhymes Week. Friday is a cozy, yummy day: Pajamas and Peppermint Day. ![]() ![]() Thursday we will be reading If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Wednesday we will be exploring the twinkle of Christmas lights. On Tuesday we will be making Magic Reindeer Food to encourage these Christmas visitors at your house. Monday will be focusing on Gingerbread Men. Friday is Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes.ĭecember 18-22 This week we will be talking about the Spirit of Christmas. Thursday we will be reviewing our favorite nursery rhyme, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. Wednesday is Horseshoe Day, where we will be doing a variety of activities involving horseshoes. Tuesday will focus our attention on Candles, The Flame Lights the Way. We will also be talking about Barnes & Stables this week. It is also the first pajama day of the month and family breakfast.ĭecember 11-15 Our letter of the week is H-Horse, take me for a ride, of course. Friday we will focus on the number 5 (in Spanish, Cinco), our number for the month. Thursday is Red and White Day (Rojo and Blanco in Spanish). Wednesday we will learn the nursery rhyme Hickory Dickory Dock. Tuesday we will learn about rodents, in general. Monday we will be talking about the letter “G,” as in Gopher. Somehow (Ha! Ha!), the children know about the Santa and gift giving part of Christmas and don’t seem to need any extra stimulation in this area!Ĭlick on the weekly links below for additional details about daily activities your preschooler is participating in.ĭecember 4-8 Our letter of the week is G-Gopher, I dig for I’m no loafer. We learn about the feelings, textures, colors and smells (cinnamon, pine…) and the symbols (candles, stars, bells…) that make this part of the year so special.
